Abstract Objeetive 'To analyze the expression, clinical significance and interacting protein function of chromosome12 open reading frame 49 (C120RF49) in breast cancer through online databases, and to provide a new approachfor the prevention, treatment and prognosis of breast caneer. Methods The Oncomine database and the HumanProtein Atlas ( HPA) database were used to analyze the differential expression of C120RF49 gene and protein inbreast cancer, and the Kaplan-Meier Plotter database was applied to analyze the correlation between C/20RF49 expression levels and the prognosis of breast cancer patients with different pathological features, and finally theSTRING database was employed to map the C120RF49-related reciprocal protein network and KEGG funetionalenrichment analysis was performed in KOBAS bioanalysis platform to predict its biological funetion. ResultsC/20RF49 expression was higher in breast cancer tissues than that in normal tissues. Overall survival time( OS ) anddistant metastasis-free survival time( DMFS) were shorter in the breast cancer patients with high C20RF49 mRNAexpression than that in the breast cancer patients with low C120RF49 mRNA expression, and the difference wasstatistically significant (P<0.05);C120RF49 predicted poor DMFS prognosis in patients with Luminal B breastcaneer ( P<0.05 ). The effeet of C120RF49 on poor DMFS prognosis of breast cancer was probably independent ofthe expression profile of breast cancer receptor. 'hese physiological processes such as NF-kB signaling pathway,TCR signaling pathway and platelet activation were associated with C120RF49-boosted breast cancer( P<0.01.Corrected-P<0.01 ), promoted the progress of breast cancer, Conclusion C]20RF49 is upregulated in breast cancertissues, and is important for the prognosis of breast caneer patients, which is worth the further study. Keywords:chromosome 12 open reading frame 49; breast cancer; Bioinformatics
