Abstract Objective To analyze the clinical effects of Huangkui capsule combined with conventional westernAbstractmedicine in the treatment of children with primary nephrotie syndrome( PNS). Methods All 98 children with PNSwere divided into the conventional western medicine group and traditional Chinese medicine( TCM) combined groupby random number table method. 'The conventional western medicine group were treated with mycophenolatemorphenate and prednisone acetate , while the 'TCM combined group were treated with Huangkui capsule combinedwith mycophenolate morphenate and prednisone acetate. After 8 weeks of treatment, the clinical efficacy, renalfunetion indexes , hemorheology indexes, inflammatory factors and the incidence of adverse reactions were comparedbetween the two groups. Results After treatment, the total elfective rate of the 'TCM combined group was 93.88% which was higher than that of the conventional wester medicine group 77.55 %, showing a statistically significantdifference ( P<0.05). After treatment, the clinical eficacy, renal function indexes, hemorheology indexes.inflammatory factors and the incidence of adverse reactions in the 'TCM combined group were lower than those in theconventional wester medicine group ( P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the incidenee of adversereactions between the two groups ( P>0.05). Conclusion Huangkui capsule combined with prednisone acetate andmycophenol morpheate is effective in the treatment of children with PNS, which can improve renal function andinflammation, reduce hemorheology , and is beneficial to the prognosis of children with high drug safety.
